Crystal Opalescent Carnival Luster American Heritage Compote |
The compotier is a dish usually made of glass, china, or silver and has been a traditional wedding gift. Having a base, stem, and often a lid it is used for serving fruit, nuts, candy and even fruit stewed or cooked in syrup that’s usually served as a dessert.
Here is a glass compote measuring 5" tall and 6" wide. Made along the American Heritage Pattern it is has the white carnival opalescent finish and is footed with a zippered rim. As a center piece bowl it stands incomparably on the table offering the newlyweds a constant reminder of their great day.
